Health and Safety Policy Statement
A. J. Morrisroe & Sons Ltd.
is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its
employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. It is our
policy to undertake our works in the safest practicable
manner, consistent with good practice.
It
is the duty of management that all processes and systems of
work will be assessed in accordance with current legislation
to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks
arising from our work activities for both our employees and
others affected by our activities.
We will ensure that our
employees are provided with information, supervision and
training as is necessary to enable the safe performance of
work activities. Competent people will be appointed to assist
us in meeting our statutory duties including, where
appropriate specialists from outside the company.
Each
individual has a legal obligation to take reasonable care for
his or her own health and safety, and for the safety of other
people who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions.
Every employee must cooperate with us to enable all statutory
duties to be complied with.
We
also accept our responsibility for other persons who may be
affected by our activities. We will take steps to ensure that
our statutory duties are met at all times.
This policy will be regularly monitored to ensure that the
objectives are achieved. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, revised in the light of legislative or
organizational changes.
It
is the policy of the Company to implement the prudent and
practical health and safety strategy of the Major Contractors
Group; full details of the company's organisation and

document.

A.J. Morrisroe & Sons Ltd.
will pursue a policy aimed at minimising environmental damage
and maximising opportunities for environmental improvement and
is an ISO 14001 registered firm.
The Morrisroe H&S award
The company
recognises outstanding personnel who have demonstrated the
best consistent performance in terms of Health and Safety
on site. This award is given annually. As part of this award
ceremony we explain the reasons why the candidate was successful
and identify our in-house shortcomings. Current and proposed
legal requirements are explained using visual examples along
with trade journal extracts to illustrate the consequences
of letting good safety levels slip.
HSE Profile:
In the
last five years this company has had no prosecutions,
prohibition notices, or improvement notices served upon it.
