Our wellbeing initiatives support our staff in a variety of ways, from providing all employees with access to our Ownminder app to on-site massage and mindfulness sessions. Each year we provide opportunities to take part in stimulating community volunteering activities, charity fundraising and team building events.
We also give regular support to The Lighthouse Club – the construction industry’s charity, which provides help to workers and their families on a range of issues including work concerns, financial worries and even personal relationships.
Morrisroe Group is very proud to have been one of the founding partners of an app-led mind fitness training platform branded Ownminder, which was launched in January 2022.
Ownminder is the first industry-specific proactive psychological health solution, created to be a preventative tool for construction workers to readily access on their mobile phones
Created by Dr Vanessa Moulton, a chartered psychologist and expert in the field of mind fitness and Tom Storey, a strategic consultant in the construction and property sector, the Ownminder app gives our employees, stakeholders and suppliers simple techniques to maintain or improve their psychological fitness on a daily basis, supported by on-site training.
Mental health applies to everyone, and Ownminder is another demonstration of our commitment to reducing stigma in this area, as well as our commitment to encouraging more open discussion and awareness around the subject.
