To allow for the landscaped public park, the first suspended floor slab will be constructed on the fourth level, 16m above ground. This elevated design uses distinctive radial and square, vertical and splayed concrete columns.

Designed as PT slabs by our in-house design team Kingscote Design, the superstructure floor plates are supported by RC in-situ columns and concrete-encased steel columns. Both are left as exposed concrete with an enhanced finish developed with the project's architect.

Our concrete mix design incorporates high levels of GGBS as cement replacement, supporting the client to meet a 35% reduction in embodied carbon from the stage 3 RIBA design, whilst also achieving the required look and finish to tie in with the cladding and exposed structural steelwork. Further material savings and reductions to embodied carbon are being achieved through the delivery of PT floor slabs over 27 floors.
