Nile Street

Story

The Nile Street project in the centre of Shoreditch was part of wider Hackney schools building programme and formed part of a wider £110m regeneration of the area.

Substructure works involved bulk excavation and the construction of a raft basement slab. The superstructure package consisted of a two-storey school, an eight-storey residential block and a twenty-nine storey residential tower over a two storey podium.

Post tensioned slabs incorporated into the reinforced concrete core were designed in-house by Kingscote Design and constructed by our specialist post tensioning team.
